With these words Pr. Wail Benjelloun, honorary president of UNIMED, concluded the webinar on South-South cooperation organized by UNIMED in collaboration with the Agence Universitaire de la Francophonie, held on the 14th of April.

Around 75 participants attended this event dedicated to illustrate the relevance and share the benefits of this kind of cooperation, through examples from the Maghreb and other regions of the world. During the event, representatives from universities, from the Union for the Mediterranean, the International Association of Universities, Expertise France and the Mauritanian presidency for the 5 + 5 Dialogue have shared their views and experiences on how to strengthen the cooperation and above all on how to highlight its importance and value.

Dialogue among universities, and with regional and international organizations is necessary to draw up pathways for future collaborations. The relevant participation to this webinar shows the great interest and willingness to act in this direction.

This event also opens the door to UNIMED inclusion and openness strategies.
